Scientific Overview

Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide (DSIP) is a naturally occurring nonapeptide first isolated from rabbit cerebral venous blood during slow-wave sleep in 1977. It crosses the blood-brain barrier and has been studied for its interactions with sleep architecture, stress-related biomarkers, and neuroendocrine pathways.

Research & Clinical Studies

DSIP and Sleep Architecture

Polysomnographic studies reported changes in sleep spindle activity and alterations in the proportion of slow-wave sleep (stages 3 and 4) in some but not all controlled trials, suggesting complex dose-dependent interactions.

DSIP and Stress-Related Biomarkers

In preclinical models, DSIP administration was associated with modulation of ACTH and cortisol levels following stress exposure, with observed changes in the HPA axis response to acute stress.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the purity of DSIP?

Our DSIP is verified at 98.5% purity through independent third-party HPLC analysis. Each production batch undergoes rigorous quality testing, and a Certificate of Analysis (COA) is available for review in our COA Library.

Store refrigerated at 2–8°C. For extended storage, keep frozen at -20°C. Protect from light and moisture. Once reconstituted, solutions should be used promptly or stored frozen to maintain stability. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles for best results.

Yes — every batch we produce is independently tested via HPLC and mass spectrometry to confirm identity and purity. COAs for all current batches are publicly accessible through our COA Library.
